Walking through the shop, you can always get ideas and inspiration for decorating at home. My sister…who does our styling, does an amazing job showing you how to use our beautiful home goods at home.

We have everyday decor that is perfect for adding to you Spring or Easter vignettes. Our table top displays are the perfect starting point for decorating a buffet or dining table. They are so versatile and set a stage for small groupings for the season.

Another easy thing to add to Spring decorating is live houseplants and fresh flowers. Tattered Tiques always has a good selection of plants in our little plant shop. We just got another delivery in yesterday.  We have the
most beautiful herb pots in this week!

New Shop Favorites

Just wanted to share with you some of the fab finds and new creations we have at the shop.  We were very busy last week up a the cabin scouring garage sales, estate sales, and even flea markets.  Here is just a portion of what we came up with.

Have you "Sailed" into summer yet?  Mom made these adorable sail boats this week.

Silver pieces have been very popular lately.

Look at these pink little pretties.   Check out the tray they are sitting on.  I love it!

These too.  These old decanters look great with mom's clay tags on them.  We picked them up in Three Lakes Wisconsin.

Love, Love, Love these.  They have so many possibilities, and at only $3.00 a piece!

The nicest lady bought this antique coffee decanter.  It makes a perfect vase.

Vintage Buttons.  Only $2.00 a card.

How great are these old wooden signs?  I have always wanted one.

A lovely gray dresser with crystal knobs.

Old soft balls and base balls look so cute grouped in a bowl or basket!  Or, in this case, and old wood drawer.

Mom painted lots more vintage buckets this past week while up north.  We lucked out and found quite a few while junking.

Another adorable dresser, and great vintage wooden box.

Not new, but worthy of mentioning again.

Hope you come out and see all these great finds for yourself!  We would love the company!  Visit us at 22029 N. Pepper Road in Lake Barrington, IL.  We will be open again on Friday and Saturday, July 8th and 9th.

Moving Right Along

We have been very busy at the shop getting it ready for April.  We have finished all the painting, including the floors.  We have hung a large curtain to hide all our unfinished inventory, and have even squeezed in a trip to IKEA for some lighting.   Also, a special thanks to mom for all her sewing.  She not only made the curtain, but also made long burlap panels to conceal some of the upstairs view.  Here are some pictures of the updates.

Not the best picture, but doesn't the floor look cute?

This is going to be our makeshift checkout counter.  It would make such a great kitchen island. I think it would be even better with legs added to the ends.

Well, I can't wait to get the lighting up, and our Tattered Tiques sign.  Thank you to Matt for helping out with all that.  If we could just get rid of that telephone wire behind the counter.  I wish I knew a telephone guy.
