This week at the shop

We have had such a rush on mom's burlap runner's, she had to make a ton more for this week's sale.  We are so pleased you are all as fond of them as we are.  They are so versatile and so, so cute!

These are the few I snagged for a photo op.

We still have a few bags of snowballs left at the shop.  They look so cute in a bowl.

I love these tall candles.  I find so many reasons to use vintage keys and sheet music.  They are two of our favorite things to use.

I know, you've seen this done a million times, but I couldn't resist.  They are just so cute!  The glass balls we used have a slight iridescence to them, and they are really quite pretty.  As you can see, Boom Boom really likes them too.

Nosey cat!  He ended up in 21 of my pictures.  He refused to get off the table.

Rolls
I love wrapping gifts in brown paper and then personalizing it with fun things on top.  We hope you do too.  We have quite a few rolls ready to go, and tons of ideas for the top.  How about a zinc letter tied on with red and white baker's twine? Or maybe green plaid ribbon with a glittered letter tag on top.  You could even put a pretty ornament tied up on top.

We are open again this weekend.  So come up and see us.  22029 N. Pepper Road, Unit 2, Lake Barrington, IL.  Thursday 10-5, Friday 10-5, Saturday 10-3.

Birthday Orchid

It was recently our Aunt Peggy's birthday, and since I haven't seen her yet, and will see her later today, I wanted to bring her a gift.  I made a quick card out of the stuff I had on hand, just like my French Birthday Sheets.  Since I was giving her a beautiful purple speckled orchid, I wanted the card to reflect the gift.  I used a vintage orchid birthday card image I had found on the internet a while back.  It turned out really cute.

This little orchid is so colorful.

The card could not of been more perfect!

Ready to be wrapped up and delivered.  If you would like any vintage music sheet cards, let me know.  We have sold them on etsy in the past, and I would be more than happy to add them again for you.  They come in handy for so many things, and some are a bit thicker than paper.

And now I'm off to get the three pigs, sorry, kids ready to go see Aunt Peg and Grandma "O" for a visit.  Our Grandma Novello, is a big blog fan, and always sits and reads the blog when she is in town.  So Hello to you Gram!  And a Happy Birthday to you Aunt Peg!

Coffee Filter Flowers

We have been making these coffee filter flowers for a while now.  We sold a tissue paper version at the markets last year.  We have been asked to be in the Illinois Garden Club convention as a vendor in April, and we thought these would be perfect!  They are really cute, and don't take much time to make, once you get the hang of it.  There are probably quite a few tutorials on the internet for them, as well as the sheet music rose.

We use vintage sheet music to make our roses, but you could use any cute paper.

I like the way the tea, stains each filter differently.  This makes each flower unique, just like in nature!
