May Shop Pics
Smore's season is upon us. How cute is this vintage Campfire Marshmallow tin? It would be the perfect container to carry all your Smore's fixins in.

Mixing It Up
I've been looking for the perfect piece to use two colors on. I love when people mix Annie Sloan's Louis Blue with Old White. I love the Louis Blue, but sometimes it can seem a little too blue for my taste. I do however love this color with dark wax on it, but I didn't want to dark wax this piece. So, I decided to tone down the Louis blue. I just added a little Paris Grey to it. The exact recipe was 3/4 Louis and 1/4 Paris Grey.
I think the color turned out perfect, and with a light tatter here and there, she definately makes a statement.
Beautiful!
This is her before shot. She actually was very pretty without paint, but dare I say...a little boring?
Now she looks like she's all dolled up and ready to go! Speaking of ready to go...she was for sale this week, but has sold already. YEAH! She went home with a very nice lady who is going to turn her into a sink vanity......LOVE that!
We are open this weekend, and we have tons of other adorable painted pieces. Come take a look!

Cable Knit Throw
Recently mom made me a cable knit throw. It turned out BEAUTIFUL. It is wonderful in all ways....color...size...thickness...everything. I just had to share. Winter will soon be coming to an end, and I just had to share with you what I curled up with this winter.
I love how chunky the cable knit is. It adds up to the perfect warmth on a cold day.
I usually throw it over the foot of my bed when it's not is use.
It is the perfect addition to my bedroom. My bedroom by the way is a work in progress. It always ends up with all the clean unfolded laundry when guests are coming at the last minute, or the overflow of toys when cleaning the toy room. And yes, I sleep with deadly deer antlers over my head. That's how I roll!
Hope you all have a great week. We will be busy getting the shop ready this week for our next opening on March 15th. See you then!

Cute Compartments
We see a lot of wonderful old things at flea markets and auctions, but only a few take my breath away. This is one of those few.
It's time we say goodbye to our favorite cubby in the shop. We've decided to sell the fabulous pale blue, green cubby we have filled with our smalls. We've had a lot of interest in her, and shes served her purpose, and now its time for someone else to enjoy her.
She would be great to house all your small craft supplies, or mail and schoolwork, or even small toys. 30 cubbies in all on her. Each with it's own spot for a label.
Let's not forget the perfect chippy, pale blue, green color.
This is actually her sitting at the Oronoco Market. How could we possibly leave without her?
Yep, we pretty much fell in love with her at first sight. We picked her up in Oronoco, Mn. at the Gold Rush Days market back in August. For some fun market pics from Gold Rush, check out that post here. These cute compartments will be for sale next week at the shop. Anne and I were away at auction last weekend and have lots of fun smalls for our next opening. We will be open February 9th, 10th and 11th,10am -3pm.
Pssst...... We are working on putting paint classes together for Annie Sloan lovers, and we have a fun "farm girl" contributing next week, so stop by!

A Little Bit of Everything
A little bit of everything. That's what you get at Tattered Tiques shop. We have new crafts, new furniture, and even new smalls.
I don't know if you recognize this coffee server, but it was very tarnished the first few sales. We thought it was really fab the way it was. Look at her now. She is beautiful.
Adorable basket full of goodies.
I have a thing for old snack trays. I think they make the best little dishes to keep jewerly and such on, on a dresser.
Sorry about the window glare. This picture is one of my favorite new pieces in the shop. It is adorable.
Mom's version of a vintage feed sack stripe. So perfect on this chair.
The cutest soon to be bride bought this dresser at the last sale, along with some other great finds.
We love the way this little cabinet turned out. It is the perfect size for a bedroom. With ample room on top for a tv or even better, a vintage inspired vignette!
We continue to add white painted arm chairs. They are are big seller.
Something for the cottage? How about a vintage paint by number.
Getting ready for the 4th of July!
Mom used some old buckets and a little paint, and voila. Adorable.
New 4th of July inspiried gift tags.
More feed sack design. Both vintage and newly created.
Vintage letter bundles. Many of the letters are from WWII.
Anne has lots of new crowns in the store.
This is not a new piece for us, it's just such a great piece, it deserves some new attention.
