My Dining Room Halloween Display
When it comes to Halloween decor, I’m a classic Halloween girl at heart.๐งก๐ค I love the fun, orange and black theme, with cheery jack-o’-lanterns in mass. I’ve been collecting vintage Halloween blow molds and trick-or-treat buckets, for years now. I’ve even received them as gifts from time to time. There’s something about those smiling jack-o’-lanterns and their sweet faces that captivate me. Not all of my blow molds are vintage however. I actually have one from Target that I received as a gift last year. With my Halloween blow molds, I’ve mixed in a handful of trick-or-treating jack-o’-lantern buckets. They are the perfect addition to the blow mold display.
Light them up!
Some of the blow molds have lights in them, others I add flameless candles to, to help them glow at night. All lit up, it looks magical. On the dining room table I add a string of orange Halloween lights to help with the ambiance. Altogether they create a dreamy little spooky scene.
Over the years, I have gathered this vintage Halloween collection, from flea markets, thrift stores, antique shops, and even from friends and family. I love to thrift, so every Fall season, I’m hoping to find a vintage blow mold or old pumpkin bucket. You can usually tell the age of the blow molds by the date on the bottom, or buy the maker, which is usually listed on the bottom. Brands like Empire, and Carolina Enterprises Inc., are very common. Also, for the buckets, usually the handles have metal brackets where the handle meets the bucket.
