Well, I'm so pleased to say that we have had tons of inquiries in the shop about Junk Bonanza. Since it's next week, I thought I'd do a recap of last year's show. I have a ton of pics to share, some are not of the best quality, but you'll get the idea. We can't make it this year, so PLEASE go for us! If you are from our area (Barrington/Chicago), you must go up one side of the Mississippi, and down the other. It is a beautiful ride!!
The cutest vintage camper EVER for sale.
It was all decked out. I just wanted to attach it to my car and go!
I should mention that the displays at Junk Bonanza are amazing! There are over 130 juried junk vendors at the show. So there is a lot to see.
So sorry for the blurry pictures. I just want you to get a feel for everything that is there. Including vintage inspired jewelry.
This booth had very cute and clever pieces for sale.

I wish I could just pick up this whole display and place it in my make belive cottage in my mind. I love everything about it! Especially the fish sign. It is wonderful.
This was my favorite display by far! It is The Round Barn Potting Company. I spent so much time just starring at it. I'm crazy about vintage dress forms, and this booth had plenty.http://www.roundbarnpottingco.com/
I love this idea! Another way to display a small collection. I love vintage scissors and paintbrushes, but would of never thought of displaying them in this way. So cute!
This is adorable. I just love this statue.
How cute is this. The blue ball jars with the white and pale, pale green pumpkins are perfect together.
This is so great. We need it for the shop. If we had only known!
I like monocromatic displays. They always look great.
This picture is from 2009'. I added it to give you an idea of the set up. The show takes place indoors inside large fair ground buildings.
If you haven't figured it out yet, you "DO" need to go to Junk Bonanza this year! So grab your girlfriends, sister's, mother's, or heck even a wonderful husband, and head north.
You can check out our post about Junk Bonanza 2009' for a recap of our road trip that year http://tatteredtiques.typepad.com/tattered-tiques/2010/08/road-trip-to-junk-bonanza-09.html. It shows a ton of the little towns and stops along the way up and down the river. For more information on the show, visit http://junkbonanza.com/. This year the show dates are September 15th, 16th, and 17th.
