Thought I would share some pictures, as well as information of our last trip to the Brimfield Antique Show in Brimfield Massachusetts. We had heard so many great things about this show, which all proved to be true and then some! I couldn't believe how big it was, and how interesting the difference in antiques were. Being from the midwest, you sort of get used to seeing the same sort of things at flea markets. We had never been to a Flea Market out east. Everything was so interesting, and much older. While we were in Brimfield, we stayed in the neighboring town of Sturbridge. This town is much larger, and has many hotels to pick from. The 2010 show dates are: May 11-16, July 13-18, Sept. 7-12. When you see this old church, you know your in Brimfield.
How exciting!!!
This is the main road where all the fields stem off.
This barn is on the J&J Promotion field. The Brimfield show is seperated into fields that are open on seperate days. Some fields are open during the week and some only on the weekends. Check the website to find out what fields are open when. We arrived on Thursday night and went to the markets on Friday and Saturday. We feel we didn't miss anything and had plenty of time to shop.
This vendor had the cutest things.
Everything in Brimfield is old, the antiques, the buildings, even the stone walls.
These old chocolate molds were so cool. I have a small bunny mold that my mom uses to make the cutest paper mache bunnies for spring.
She uses them to decorate the boxes she makes up.
We also took a trip to Cape Cod. So glad we did, it was everything I had dreamed it would be. Adorable. Everything about it!
There is something about light houses that I just love.
The beautiful "Cape."
A visit to Provincetown, Cape Cod.
There is something very cool about cemeteries. We visited some of the oldest ones in the country. I admit, we were a little creeped out!
We made this long trek along the beach to see an old ship wreck which turned out to be very unexciting. As you can tell from this picture, Anne gave it a thumbs down!
Love this post..I have been wanting to make it out to this flea market for sometime now! looks like it was amazing...
