Southern Illinois Trip

Though this past weekend didn't yield as much as we'd hoped, we still had fun. We even managed to squeeze in an Antique Market at the very end. These trips always have the best opportunities for great pictures! So....I thought I'd share.
I NEVER seem to tire of seeing the word Antiques plastered on the side of a building!
I also can't get enough of our little shopgirl MaryJane. She's the best!
I can't pass on old truck without taking a dozen pictures of it. This is what I dream of......and vintage campers....and cottages.
Beautiful Zinnias outside of an Antique Warehouse.

This was the coolest old building. A warehouse filled with Antiques....perfect.
This place was closed. For a while by the looks of it, but I just love their sign.
How great is this sign?!
More trucks.
This one was decked out for Fall.
We were pretty excited when we pulled up here, and ended up walking out empty handed.
They did know how to draw everyone in though! They had the cutest little set ups.
This little table was adorable. Just look at that color!
Unfortunately, it didn't come home with us.

Meem tried on shoes.

And glasses. Sorry for the blurry, terrible photo. It was probably one of the many ghosts that inhabited this creepy place!

This place was so packed you literally  had to step over things and turn your body sideways to get around. It was three floors. And it was for sure haunted. Creepiest place I've ever been!

Another adorable old motel sign.

This booth had some cool things, except you couldn't really get to them. Kinda like the back of our shop, behind the curtain!

Our small haul from the last stop before heading home.
As If a two day road trip out of town wasn't enough. Mom and I headed to the Grayslake Antique Market on Sunday. This booth and the next were dreamy.
I'm a huge sucker for old flannels and wool blankets. I can't get enough of them. See that black and white Buffalo check one in the middle? That one came home with me. I also managed to buy a wool blanket too.
Luckily I already have a red and black check shirt like these or I would of had to get one. They are so cute! Hmmmm, I don't have a green and black check. Next time!
Well, there you have it. A run down of last weekend. Remember, we are....
Today, Tuesday from 9am-12pm. Come and get your paint for the week. We won't be open this coming weekend. Have a great week everyone! Julie
