Vintage Pin Cushions

Being a quilter, one of my favorite gifts I have ever received is one of these vintage pin cushions from my mom.  She made me one years ago....actually, I don't think it was a gift or that she made it for me, I think she made it to sell, and I LOVED it, so I just took it.  She's pretty used to that.  Well, I'm glad I did. I adore it.

Aren't they just adorable???

They are all unique and one of a kind.

I love that someday I will be able to tell my daughter that "grandma" made this and hopefully re-gift it to her.  It's the little things in life...right? It truly is one of my favorite things.

Lucky for you, she is now making them for the shop. She's sold quite a few already so stop by next weekend if you want one!

  3. Good Afternoon to you, These pin cushions are beautiful and such a lovely idea. Anyone who received one as a gift would be thrilled to pieces. You sound just like my daughters, if they see something they like in my home, they always know they are welcome to it.
I have really enjoyed my visit so I have become a new follower. I would like to invite you to visit me at Ivy, Phyllis and Me! when you have the time. The door will always be open.
Sending you best wishes from England.

    1. Thank you so much Daphne! We are so glad you found us and stopped by, and are now following! That makes our day. And, yes, guilty as charged....we are always going home with mom's goods! Just recently we both took adorable British Flag pillows made out of drop cloths she made. They are our favorite pillows in our homes now. Nothing she makes is safe with us..oh well...that's the price she pays for being so talented! Can't wait to give you a visit as well! Have a wonderful rest of your week.

    1. Hi Susan! I'm laughing now... We are always taking my mom's finds and her creations. It's too bad more of her talents didn't get passed down to us! My sister at least can sew and make beautiful quilts. I on the other hand got the short end of the stick in the talent department! Thanks so much for stopping by and following!! We actually just added the follower button last night and are still trying to figure things out after a couple years of blogging!! You have a great weekend of junking!

  7. Julie, i havé seen similar ones done on teacups and such but, these are the best. What a beautiful treasure to pass down someday to your daughter I also do the same to my daughter. As for just taking one my daughter does the same to me, if I am creating something she will ask me if she can buy one off me knowing I won't charge her but will just give her one, she is just so sneaky.

Love this share, it inspires those sweet homemade treasures. Thank you for taking the time to visit me and leaving a comment that joys on your way home.

A beautifully inspiring weekend to you.
