What's New?

The past couple of weeks we have been trying to fit in as many mini day trips and auctions as we can. Keeping the shop full keeps us busy. Two weeks ago Anne and I spent the whole weekend searching for treasures. On Saturday we drove around southern Wisconsin in search of goods, and came up almost empty handed. Then Sunday we headed north again, and we actually ran into our new friend, from Urbanfarmgirlandco at an auction. It's always nice to run into fellow junkers like yourself, however, because we were so chatty, we were actually asked to be quiet. I felt like I was back in grade school, both embarrassed and annoyed! Anyway, Anne and I left pretty much empty handed from that too, so we were off again this past weekend. This time, we had more luck, a whole van full kind of luck. We just wanted to share a little of what's new at the shop. Auction jan 173 (800x450)

This piece made its debut the last 2 sales and got lots of notice.  It would work as a great desk, work bench or kitchen island.  It's fab!

An adorable old baby scale with some reworked antique trim pieces (they make great jewelry displays when hooks are added).

  1. I was actually at the auction you were at on Sunday. I was frustrated because it seemed you were getting all the good stuff! Now I understand why - I have been watching your blog and you have amazing taste! I'll say hi next time I see you. :-)

  2. Thanks for visiting me cause now I found you. Your email is turned off so I could not reply. I am you newest follower! Marcy

  3. I loved my field trip to your store on Saturday -- came home with several things including the heart pan ---- I loved it -- and your neighbors as well ---- can't wait to visit again.

  4. Cheryl, Glad you enjoyed your visit. We adored that cake tin, so glad it went home with you to enjoy!
